You do not have to have seen the movie to start along with the RPG, but as the plot goes on, people may refer to the movie and you may get confused. You could just ask me if you have any questions. |
Davy Jones rules all the seas, and all that sail upon them. His giant creature, the Kraken, is released at his command at any ship he wishes. The Kraken breaks the ships in half and pulls them under, most, if not all, sailors with them. Those sailors that survive are lined up on the deck of Davy's ship, the Flying Dutchman, and those he does not decide to kill are condemned to work on his ship for however long he wishes.
Jones has a chest hidden somewhere he will not reveal, and something very valuable and precious lies within. Obtaining that item would give the owner power over Jones, and ultimately, the sea. But many don't believe that item could even possibly exist in a treasure chest. Nevertheless, the legend of Davy Jones goes from person to person, and eventually, it becomes a race to see who can obtain the valuable item first, and everyone has a reason to hunt... People will meet in their travels, and some will work together to find the treasure, while others will make it into more competition. People will develop countless reasons to be hunting for this treasure...To confirm legends...for Protection...Profit...or Power...The possibilities are endless. But as they all head out onto the seas with their goals in mind, they encounter people they never would have expected, they experience death-defying events, and it becomes a race for survival against the "sea" himself, Davy Jones...All in a desperate search for the leverage, in the form of a chest and the item rumored to be inside it, that will save them all in different ways...or so they thought... So tell me.... Why are you hunting? |
